A cheeky score by Andrew Lippa (“The Wild Party”) and book by Marshall Bricksman and Rick Elice (“Jersey Boys”) keep things lively — or, shall we say, energetically dead. While the songs aren’t exactly classics, the juxtaposition of old-school Broadway show tunes and kitschy creeps adds some zing. Wednesday’s torch song to torture, “Pulled,” is a giggle and a half. Moreno gilds the father’s lament at his daughter’s growing up in “Happy Sad,” showing a genuine tenderness that’s memorable in such a snarky musical. Youseff shines in the midlife crisis aria “Waiting.” But it’s Rich’s Morticia who stops the show with her gleeful turn through the ode to death, “Just Around the Corner.”.

On the ballot for the June primary, she referred to herself as “Mayor, City of Fresno.” When she filed for the November election, she changed that to “Mayor/CEO.”. As the mayor of a city with “strong mayor” government, she’s entitled to call herself “CEO” if she wants to, but why did she take “Fresno” off the ballot?. California voters have a right to the information she removed. And I understand that some voters in Fresno were upset by the omission.
